My artistic practice is rooted in curiosity and a desire to understand art history. My recent works heavily inspired by spanish portraits of kings and noblemen, but also modern/contemporary painters like Freud and Manet.

I only paint portraits of people I know well. So I can capture their essence in the paintings.
