In my painterly practice, i deal a lot with visionlike sceneries, that aim to be a space for the irrational and non-explainable. There, i am looking for an fairytale atmosphere, through displaying monsters and mythical creatures, that are mostly taken from historical references. Those depictions should challenge the more and more rationalized everyday life and are asking to embrace the fantastic parts of the human imagination. They are trying to offer an alternative reality and so being an (partial) escape.
