Julia Karpov

My artistic practice centers on painting as both meditation and exploration, informed by my background in sculpture and a deep engagement with metaphysical research. I approach my paintings as sculptural, physical expressions of a conceptual inquiry into the rituals and routines that artists have historically used to access higher states of consciousness. Through my work, I seek to embody the artist as a vessel, transmuting information from the collective unconscious into tangible form, exploring the intersection of creativity, spirituality, and the human experience.

I have a BA from Central Saint Martins, London and an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. I am currently a PhD student at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
