Painting is not just a visual medium but a way to explore and give form to the incomprehensible—to articulate ideas, emotions, and experiences that cannot be fully understood or expressed in words. The act becomes a bridge between the intangible and the tangible, mirroring my own search for meaning. In my practice, painting is a means of navigating the between filling the space and freeing the space, line and surface, giving structure and allowing dissolution. Through blurring and destabilising forms, I explore how boundaries dissolve, creating moments where representation and abstraction intersect. It is a search for the figure and its simultaneous loss—a process that becomes a kind of movement in itself. This search is for the incomprehensible and the ever-shifting nature of what is seen and felt. My work embraces experimentation as a method of discovery. By expanding my colour palette, shifting scales, and testing the limits of form, I seek to uncover meaning in the act of painting itself. Spontaneous, unplanned, and expressionistic, each painting becomes a site of movement—a performance of creation. The reason I paint lies in the moment of surprise—when something unexpected happens and when my choices lead me to the most surprising results. This dynamic act echoes the ever-changing nature of existence and transformation, reflecting my own growth and identity. Ultimately, my practice reflects my character, experiences, and identity. It is a journey of merging my Polish heritage with life as an immigrant in London. It acts as a responsive medium by synthesising the ideas and sociopolitical issues that I encounter. I explore the feminine experience by focusing on the politics of the body, gender roles, expectations and emotions. Each piece serves as a personal commentary on the interplay between internal experience and external realities, weaving together the complexities of identity, belonging, and change.
