Charlie Jakobsson (b.2000) is a visual artist based in Stockholm. In his practice, traditional painting materials and methods resonate with everyday materials such as pearls, worn out textiles and fruit skin. Jakobsson is engaged in how (at first sight) insignificant shifts in the everyday — a small appearing sound or a slight change in texture of the skin — can turn everything upside down and act as strategies for resilience and resistance. Jakobsson holds a BFA from HDK-Valand (2023), Gothenburg, and is currently finishing his last semester at the MA program in fine art at Konstfack (2025), Stockholm.charlievincejakobsson.com
